Mount Kibo in from anchorage

Product tanker Mount Kibo arrived last night after a period at anchor off Halifax waiting for a berth to be vacated by the Irving Oil tanker Acadian.

Operating in the 50 ship strong UPT (United Product Tanker) pool, based in Cyprus, the ship is actually owned by a German company Hartmann Shipping. They in turn have entrusted management to Donnelly Tanker Management of Cyprus.
On March 12, 201 Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in South Korea handed the ship over to its owners and it immediately went to work for UPT. A typical product tanker with epoxy coated tanks, it measures 23, 313 gross tons, 37,843 deadweight tonnes.
