Echo for CMA /CGM


CMA/CGM's feeder service to Jamaica makes weekly calls in Halifax, and has been increasing the size of its ships over the past few months, and so there has been a variety of different vessels. On Tuesday November 2, the caller was the Dutch flagged Echo, Built in Turkey in 1999, the ship can carry 1138 TEUs with a high proportion of reefers.It is also fitted with two forty tonnne cranes.

A distinctive feature is the full width bridge, usually seen on ships expecting to work in winter conditions. The ship is managed by JR Shipping which has a number of ice class vessels.
